Gencon is the one major convention that I attend every year and every year it seems to get bigger. I started running games for a handful of friends about 8 years ago and then began doing a LARP (Live Action Role Playing) game about 3 years ago under a different name. This year Plaid Chameleon Games is running a handful of role playing games and a bunch of kids games in a variety of systems, but the 7th Sea LARP is our biggest event.
This year’s LARP is Negotiations in Vodacce Minor (LRP0900154) on Friday 8 pm. Set in the world of Theah, the Vaticine Church and Vodacce nobles are meeting to discuss construction of a new cathedral. Of course, being Vodacceans, there’s a lot more going on. Can you navigate the complicated negotiations? Can you even survive? Scheduled for 50 people, we think this year will be one of our best ever. I’m going to be posting a list of the characters shortly. If you’ve already signed up to play, look over the characters and contact me at natbriros@hotmail.com to reserve your favorite.
Other games we’re running include Chill RPG (Wednesday 8pm), 7th Sea RPG (Ocean’s 7 Thursday at 9 pm and Saturday at 9 am, Swashbuckling 101 Friday at 9 am), a 7th Sea CCG tournament (Thursday at 5 pm) and a Faerie Tale game for the kids (Thursday 3pm and Saturday at 1pm). We’re also running a kid’s LARP on Thursday at 1 pm and a game of our own system on Friday at 1 pm. Some of these games still have openings and we can usually fit a few extra people into games, so we hope to see you at Gen Con.
